PURPOSE: A device and method for amplifying power are provided to control the amount of currents using the output level and the ACPR(Adjacent Channel Power Ratio) of an amplifier that an ACPR detector detects, thereby increasing the efficiency of the amplifier.;CONSTITUTION: A variable attenuating unit(200) controls the size of an input signal. An amplification unit(210) amplifies an input signal whose size is adjusted by the variable attenuating unit to output an analog signal. An ACPR detector(230) detects an ACPR from the output signal of amplifier. The ACPR detector provides size adjustment control information of the variable attenuating unit. A voltage control unit(250) controls the bias voltage of the amplifier according to the detection result of the ACPR detector. The voltage control unit comprises a D/A converter.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
