PURPOSE: A health food containing oleananes triterpene saponin compounds is provided to enhance memory and learning ability and to improve brain function. CONSTITUTION: A health food with an effect of improving brain function contains oleanane triterpene saponin compound of chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1, R2, and R3 are independently hydrogen atom or C1-C4 alkyl group; R4 is alkyl group of C1-C4 or hydrolxyalkyl agroup of C1-C4; and R5 and R6 are independently hydrogen atom or saccharide. The saccharide is glucose, galactose, rhamnose, xylose, arabinose, or glucuronic acid.
