PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for performing a zone switch-based handover considering a security support are provided to perform a context mapping without exchanging messages related with an additional dynamic service.;CONSTITUTION: A first message including a first security password value is received from a legacy terminal support area of a target base station which supports a legacy terminal. A second security password value is created. A message authentication code key is created using a first security random number and a second security random number. A second message including a second security random variable is transmitted to a new terminal support area of the target base station by protecting the second message with a message authentication code key.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
