PURPOSE: An insulation panel coupling structure and method for a stand-alone type liquefied gas tank are provided to reduce the number of parts for installation of insulation panels by increasing the size of an insulation panel attached to the exterior of a tank.;CONSTITUTION: An insulation panel coupling structure for a stand-alone type liquefied gas tank comprises a stud bolt(3), a first insulation panel(11), a fixing member(5), and a second insulation panel(15). The stud bolt is installed on the exterior of a tank body(1). The first insulation panel is inserted to the stud bolt. The fixing member is coupled to the stud bolt in order to secure the first insulation panel in the position. The second insulation panel is coupled to the fixing member and laminated on the first insulation panel. At least one of the first and second insulation panels has a protection layer laminated on an insulating material.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
