PURPOSE: A system and method for informing a receiver state through a ring back tone, and an apparatus applied to the same are provided to enable an originator to confirm the current state of a receiver when requesting an originating call.;CONSTITUTION: According to a call originating request, an exchange device(200) discriminates the subscription to a ring back tone service. Based on the discrimination result, the exchange device connects a call exchange for executing the ring back tone service. A ring back tone server(300) converts the receiver status notification information for the receiver into a ring back tone or a rink back tone text. The server transfers the ring back tone or the ring back tone text to the originator during an originating and receiving call connection waiting time.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
