SURFACE MODIFIED WASTE SILICONE RUBBER POWDER AND METHOD FOR RECYCLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Surface-modified waste silicone rubber powder coated with silica is provided to prepare recycled thermosetting silicon rubber product with excellent economical efficiency while reducing the degradation of mechanical strength and properties. CONSTITUTION: Surface-modified waste silicone rubber powder is prepared by the steps of: pulverizing cured waste silicone rubber to prepare fine pulverized rubber powder; and coating the silica on the surface of the fine pulverized rubber powder. Additionally, a method for preparing waste silicone rubber powder comprises the steps of: pulverizing cured waste silicone rubber to prepare fine pulverized rubber powder; adsorbing polyalcohol to the surface of the fine pulverized rubber powder; and coating the silica on the surface of the fine pulverized silicone rubber powder to which polyalcohol is adsorbed.
