PURPOSE: An arc welding system, single arc welding system and a tandem arc welding system are provided to ensure reliable communication since communication is serially done by digital signals.;CONSTITUTION: An arc welding system comprises a welding robot(10), a welding torch(12), a welding power supply unit(30) and a controller(40). The welding torch is mounted on the leading end of the arm of the welding robot. The welding power supply unit is connected to the welding torch and supplies power to a welding wire.
