METHOD FOR COMPUTATION OF HAUSDORFF DISTANCE FOR POLYGONAL MODELS

PURPOSE: A method for computing a Hausdorff distance for a polygonal model is provided to offer a computer readable recording medium in order to performing the method. CONSTITUTION: When polygonal models a and b are given, a Hausdorff distance from a to b is calculated(S100). Triangles which are not used for calculating the Hausdorff distance are selectively eliminated(S120). Among triangles in b which are not used for calculating the Hausdorff to b is selectively eliminated(S210). An upper bound or the lower bound of the Hausdorff are updated(S220).
