PURPOSE: A sodium carbonate briquette, manufacturing method, and refining method using the same are provided to improve the quality of the molten steel by preventing the increasing of sulfur compound. CONSTITUTION: A sodium carbonate briquette comprises Fe 45~60 weight%, sodium carbonate 35~50 weight% and a bonding agent 5~10 weight%. A Fe source comprises more than one of Fe, FeO, Fe2O3, and Fe3O4. The bonding agent comprises more than one of bentonite, molasse, starch and silicate glass. The specific gravity of sodium carbonate briquette is 3.2~5.0.
