AUTOMATIC CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A GASIFIER CAPABLE OF AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLLING THE AMOUNT OF FEEDSTOCK SUPPLIED TO A GASIFIER

PURPOSE: An automatic control system for a gasifier is provided to automatically control the injection amount of coal, pure oxygen, and steam according to the kind of coal put into a gasifier and the change of an operation load.;CONSTITUTION: An automatic control system for a gasifier comprises a gasifier(10), control valves(1,2,3,4), flow meters(5,6,7,8), a sequence controller(3), a steam flow meter(9), a gas analyzer(16), a gasifier performance estimation program(11), and an operation simulator(12). The gasifier receives feedstock and generates gasification reaction for synthetic gas production. The feedstock comprises oxygen, fuel, flux, and steam. The feedstock control valve controls the flow rate of the feedstock. The flow meter measures the flow rate of the feedstock. The sequence controller controls the feedstock valve. The steam flow meter measures the flow rate of the steam created in the gasifier. The gas analyzer measures the composition of the synthetic gas generated in the gasifier. The performance of the gasifier is predicted according to the change of input condition of the feedstock. The operation simulator uses the result of the gasifier performance estimation program.
