MULTI-CHANNEL/MULTI-INTERFACE MESH ROUTER AND A METHOD FOR FIXED-DISTRIBUTED CHANNEL ASSIGNMENT

PURPOSE: A multi-channel/multi-interface mesh router and a method for fixed-distributed channel assignment are provided to assign channels while minimizing the interference in all mesh routers. ;CONSTITUTION: A neighbor information confirmation unit(112) transmits and receives hello message with neighboring mesh routers. The neighbor information confirmation unit acquires information of the mesh routers. A seed node confirmation unit(114) determines the priority of mesh routers through a neighbor information table. The seed node confirmation unit creates a PL(Parent List) and a DL(Dependent List). If the priority of the corresponding mesh router is highest one, a channel allocation unit(116) allocates the channel of the mesh routers within the cascade list.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
