PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of copper nanopowder is provided to improve evaporation efficiency of bulk copper by using an electrode inside of a torch as a cathode and using external objects as an anode inside of a transferred or non-transferred type thermal plasma device. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of copper nanopowder includes following steps.(i) In the transferred or non-transferred type plasma device, an arc is generated by using a tungsten cathode inside of the torch and anode copper, and a thermal plasma jet is generated by injecting operation gas to a vertical direction.(ii) The bulk copper is put onto a holder to the vertical direction. The plasma jet is injected directly to the top part of the bulk copper. The bulk copper is melted and vaporized to the plasma jet of a high temperature.(iii) And the copper of the evaporation state is cooled, and a nanoparticle is created. The operation gas in the transfer plasma device is argon gas. In the non-transferred type plasma device, the operation gas is mixing gas of nitrogen and argon. In the step(iii), the nitrogen gas 200-250L / min is used as diluent gas.
