PURPOSE: A vertical velocity detector having automatic direction correction and a borehole vibration measuring device having the same are provided to automatically correct the direction of a velocity detector after the compression into ground. CONSTITUTION: A vertical velocity detector having automatic direction correction comprises a verticality pace sensing sensor(31), a verticality maintain structure(32) and a balance weight(33). The verticality pace sensing sensor senses the vertical component of the ground vibration. The verticality maintaining structure supports the verticality pace sensing sensor at two points. The verticality maintaining structure can rotate the verticality pace sensing sensor around two points. The balance weight is installed in the verticality pace sensing sensor. The balance weight maintains the measurement direction of the verticality pace sensing sensor.
