PURPOSE: An auto door apparatus for a semi-splash guard of a machine tool is provided to reduce the load exerted on a cylinder when opening a door because the door body can be transferred in both vertical and horizontal directions. ;CONSTITUTION: An auto door apparatus for a semi-splash guard of a machine tool comprises a pair of side covers(3), a multi-stage door(1), transfer units(4,5,6,7), and a door guide(2). The side covers close both sides of a machine tool. The multi-stage door comprises a plurality of door pieces(1-1,1-2,1-3,1-4,1-5) which are oriented at different angles and connected to rotate around each contact portion. The transfer units transfer the multi-stage door upward, wherein the door guide guides each door piece along the front vertical edges and upper horizontal edges of the side covers.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
