PURPOSE: A method for processing cooling water in a blast furnace is provided to improve the efficiency of cooling a blast furnace by making Fe components existing in cooling water grow into large particles that float on the cooling water and then removing the floating particles.;CONSTITUTION: An oxidizer is added to cooling water in a furnace body so that Fe existing in the cooling water is oxidized and oxidized particles are formed. The oxidized particles are removed, thereby eliminating Fe components from the cooling water. The oxidizer is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen peroxide, K2Cr2O7, KMnO4, oxygen or their mixture and the content of the oxidizer is 80-100ppm.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
