PURPOSE: A device for detecting surface defect of a strip using a plurality of lights is provided to remove detection error under single light by one line scanning camera and a plurality of lights. ;CONSTITUTION: A device for detecting surface defect of a strip using a plurality of lights comprises a line scanning camera(30), lights, a control unit and an image processing unit. The line scanning camera is installed on a strip. The lights are arranged to radiate light in different directions to the target area of the line scanning camera. The control unit controls timing for the operation of the lights and the line scanning camera. The image processing unit drives the line scanning camera according to the lighting of each light, of which timing has been controlled. The image processing unit overlaps each image, analyzes images obtained therefrom, and determines whether there are defects on the surface.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
