PURPOSE: A passenger information acquisition system for vehicles and a method of the same are provided to confirm whether the passenger gets on the vehicle or not and obtain and save the passenger information of on/off board time and video information about passenger when getting on/off the vehicles. ;CONSTITUTION: The passenger information acquisition system for vehicles includes: a getting on and off car sensor(10) which senses the passenger's getting on/off the vehicles and the getting off of the passenger already on board; a passenger acquirement of visual information part(20) which obtains the video information of passenger when the getting on and off car sensor senses the passenger's getting on/off the vehicle; and a passenger time information acquisition part(30) obtaining getting on/off time information of passenger when the getting on and off car sensor senses the passenger's getting on/off the vehicle.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
