PURPOSE: A battery pack is provided to suppress unnecessary electrical energy consumption and to prolong the lifetime of the battery pack while avoiding complete configuration of the battery pack. ;CONSTITUTION: A battery pack(2) comprises: a battery cell(4); a charge amount calculation part(5) producing the charged capacity of a battery cell based on the charging current to the battery cell and the discharge current from the battery cell; a setting unit for setting a plurality of charged capacities with different upper limits; a charging amount selection unit(7) for selecting one of a plurality of charged capacities; and a battery control unit(6) having a communication function for the charged capacity information and the charge commend information.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
