PURPOSE: A control device for observing units, a control program, a control method and an observation system are provided to reduce influences of heats transmitted from a heating source such as a lighting device upon samples. ;CONSTITUTION: The control device(7) controls an observing unit(100) including an observation device obtaining observation images of samples and a lighting device for lighting samples in the observation. A first controller(71) observes and decides one or a plurality of samples to obtain observation images with the observation device by using the observation device, and adjusts an illuminance of the lighting device by controlling the lighting device. A second controller(72) adjusts an illuminance of the lighting device by controlling the lighting device when one or a plurality of samples to obtain observation images are observed with the observation device by using the observation device, on the basis of sample information recorded in a memory, and the observation mode obtaining the observation images of the samples is set up in the observation unit.
