PURPOSE: A method for preparing an acrylic impact modifier is provided to improve extrusion processability by adding a small amount of an impact modifier to a thermoplastic resin and to ensure excellent surface properties and impact resistance. CONSTITUTION: An acrylic impact modifier comprises 65~95 weight% of acrylic rubber cores, 4~20 weight% of methacryl-based shells surrounding the core, and 1~15 weight% of lubrication shells surrounding the methacryl-based shells. The lubrication shell comprises: a copolymer consisting of 30~90 weight% of styrene-based monomers and 10~70 weight% of acrylic monomers; and 0.1~5.0 parts by weight of molecular weight control agents based on 100 parts by weight of the copolymer resin.
