A NOVEL STRAIN OF BACILLUS SP. BS061 HAVING ANTI-PATHOGENS ACTIVITY AND COMPOSITION FOR CONTROLLING PLANT DISEASE

PURPOSE: A novel Bacillus sp. BS061 isolated from plant leaves and a composition for preventing plant diseases using the same are provided to prevent powdery mildew and gray mold rot. CONSTITUTION: A bacillus sp. BS061(deposit number: KCTC 10977BP) has antifungal activity. The bacillus sp. BS061 produces an antibiotic of iturin A of chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R is (CH_2)_8CH(CH_3)CH_2CH_3, (CH_2)_10CH_3, (CH_2)_9CH(CH_3)_2 or (CH_2)_11CH_3. A composition for preventing plant diseases contains bacillus sp. BS061 strain, suspension thereof, or culture supernatant. The composition has antibacterial activity against Botrytis cinerea, Fulvia fulva, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Cylindrocarpon destructans, Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum, or Pythium sp.
