PURPOSE: A polymer nanocomposite membrane for DMFC is provided to ensure low methanol permeability compared with an existing Nafion polymer film and to enhance the performance of a methanol fuel cell since a crossover phenomenon of reaction fuel at a negative electrode is low. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a polymer nanocomposite membrane for DMFC comprises the steps of: dipping a Nafion membrane in a fluoroalkylsilane diluting solution; dispersing the fluoroalkylsilane into an ion cluster inside the Nafion membrane; forming hydrophobic silica nanoparticles through the hydrolysis and polycondensation of fluoroalkylsilane dispersed with the ion cluster by dipping the Nafion membrane in a methanol aqueous solution; drying the Nafion membrane on which hydrophobic silica nanoparticles are formed; re-drying the Nafion membrane; acidifiying the dried Nafion membrane in 0.1~0.5 M H2SO4 aqueous solution; and washing and drying the acidified Nafion membrane.
