PURPOSE: A defect detection apparatus and a defect detection method for an impact pile through defect classification algorithm based on zigbee communication are provided to reduce damage to an impact pile by detecting defects in real time.;CONSTITUTION: A defect detection apparatus(1) for an impact pile through defect classification algorithm based on zigbee communication comprises a sensor unit(100) and a data logger unit(200). The sensor unit is installed in one side of the head of an impact pile and measures the echo signal of shock waves applied to the impact pile. And the sensor unit receives a parameter value for detecting defects of the impact pile from the data logger unit. The data logger unit is separated from the sensor unit. The data logger unit detects the defects of the impact pile through defect classification algorithm and transmits the parameter value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
