PURPOSE: A vertical water pump operable under submerged conditions is provided to enable a user to operate the pump even if a pump station is submerged.;CONSTITUTION: A vertical water pump operable under submerged conditions comprises a motor housing, a motor cooling water jacket(200), an impeller, an exhaust pipeline(400), a motor cooling water cooler(500), a motor cooling water pipeline(600), a motor cooling water pump(700), and a cooler cooling water pipeline(800). A stator is fixed to the inner surface of the motor housing and supports upper and lower bearing. Motor cooling water for absorbing heat emitted from the motor housing circulates in the motor cooling water jacket. The impeller is coupled to a rotor extended from the motor housing. The exhaust pipeline exhausts water when the impeller is rotated. The motor cooling water cooler cools the motor cooling water supplied from the jacket and re-transfers the motor cooling water to the jacket. The motor cooling water pipeline connects the jacket and the cooler. The pump is installed in the pipeline and forms a pressure gradient on the motor cooling water. The cooler cooling water pipeline has a flow path for supplying and exhausting the motor cooling water.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
