ACTIVATED CARBON COATED WITH NANO-METAL/PHOTOCATALYTIC SOL CAPABLE OF DECOMPOSING CONTAMINANTS BY BEING REACTED WITH A LIGHT EMITTING DIODE LAMP AT A WAVELENGTH BETWEEN 395 AND 400 NANOMETERS
ACTIVATED CARBON COATED WITH NANO-METAL/PHOTOCATALYTIC SOL CAPABLE OF DECOMPOSING CONTAMINANTS BY BEING REACTED WITH A LIGHT EMITTING DIODE LAMP AT A WAVELENGTH BETWEEN 395 AND 400 NANOMETERS
PURPOSE: Activated carbon coated with nano-metal/photocatalytic sol is provided to increase the absorbing capability of the activated carbon with respect to volatile organic compounds.;CONSTITUTION: A nano-metal/photocatalytic coating layer, which is a nano-metal/photocatalytic slurry composition, is formed by coating nano-metal/photocatalytic sol on activated carbon. 50 to 70 parts by weight of water as an aqueous solvent, 5 to 15 parts by weight of a titanium precursor, 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of transition metal as a metal precursor, 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of nitric acid as a catalyst, and 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of a chelate stabilizer are mixed in a reactor. A stirring process is implemented with respect to the mixture at temperature between 60 and 90 degrees Celsius to obtain the nano-metal/photocatalytic slurry composition.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
