RECORDING POWER SETTING METHOD AND OPTICAL DISK DEVICE CAPABLE OF OBTAINING A STRAIGHT LINE WHICH APPROXIMATES A CURVE WITH A LEAST SQUARE METHOD

PURPOSE: A recording power setting method and optical disk device are provided to set an optimized recording power and reduce the OPC deviation.;CONSTITUTION: Recording characteristic information is read from a disk(S102). Test data is recorded about reach n numbers of recording power and degree of modulation about recorded data is detected(S104). A straight line which maximizes a curve comprised of n numbers of points that has (x,y) coordinate about each k numbers of power coefficient is calculated(S105). An error with a corresponding curve among the calculated k numbers of straight lines selects the most small straight line and corresponding power coefficient. Optimized recording power is set based on the selected straight line, power coefficient and the read recording characteristic information.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
