PURPOSE: An electronic nautical chart update system using changes according to the ebb and flow of the tide is provided to renew outlines on an electronic nautical chart according to date or time, thereby promoting the safe sailing of ships. CONSTITUTION: An electronic nautical chart update system using changes according to the ebb and flow of the tide comprises an image receiving part(110), an outline coordinate information extracting part(120), and an electronic nautical chart storage part(130). The image receiving part receives a marine image which is taken by an artificial satellite. The outline coordinate information extracting part extracts outline coordinate information on objects except for the sea from the marine image. The electronic nautical chart storage part displays the outlines of the objects on the electronic nautical chart according to the outline coordinate information and stores the electronic nautical chart with the outlines.
