PURPOSE: A power control device of a multimedia unit and a method thereof are provided to prevent the theft even if the driver forgets the locking of door by turning on or off the power control device of a multimedia unit according to the opening and closing of a door and the on-off of the ACC switch.;CONSTITUTION: A power control method of a multimedia unit comprises the following steps. A driving control unit(11) watches the opening and closing of a door of the vehicle and on-off of the ACC switch(40). The multimedia unit is turned on if the door of the vehicle is opened or the ACC switch is turned on when the multimedia unit is turned off.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
