PURPOSE: A method for controlling osmorality and dissolved carbon dioxide level is provided to improve cell growth, survival rate, and density.;CONSTITUTION: A method for improving yield of a product in a process for culturing mammalian cells comprises a step of removing dissolved carbon dioxide through surface gas exchange from the surface of a culture medium for cells.
