CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia or fatty liver contains Nelumbo nucifera leaf extract and taurine as an active ingredient. A health food for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia or fatty liver contains the Nelumbo nucifera leaf extract and taurine as an active ingredient. A method for preparing Nelumbo nucifera leaf extract comprises: a step of isolating Nelumbo nucifera leaf powder using water, alcohol, or mixture thereof; a step of filtering the extract; and a step of compressing and freeze-drying.
