PURPOSE: An apparatus for effectively performing beacon in an LTE(Long Term Evolution) femto base station and method thereof are provided to effectively perform beacon in a femto base station by creating a paging message.;CONSTITUTION: A reception modem(604) obtains the SIB(System Information Block) message of a macro base station. The SIB message is transmitted to a terminal by the adjacent macro base station. A message creation unit(612) adds and updates the information of the femto base station to the obtained SIB message of the macro base station. A transmission modem(614) transmits the updated SIB message of the base station to the terminal. The information of the femto base station includes either the center frequency of the femto base station or a PCID(Physical Cell Identifier) of the femto base station.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
