PURPOSE: A storage unit with security function and a security method thereof are provided to minimize area increment by respectively arranging a non-volatile memory device in the cross areas of external wires and inner wires.;CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(10) comprises a storage unit(11) and a security control unit(12). The storage unit and the security control unit are connected through an internal data bus(13). The storage unit is connected to external devices such as a host and a user through an external data interface(14). The host includes the integration of terminals which are able to approach the data saved in a storage unit which includes a personal computer, a work station, a desktop computer, a laptop computer or a personal digital terminal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
