Disclosed is a method for an evaluation test of the corrosion resistance of the inner surface of an upper deck cargo tank in an actual ship wherein the method has high reproducibility of variation in temperature and is capable of precisely converting and evaluating a corrosion velocity. The method is characterized in that a corrosion test specimen is affixed onto the rear side of the cover of a manhole or a cleaning hole facing the atmosphere within the cargo tank in the actual ship of a cargo tanker so that the variation in the temperature of the corrosion testing surface of the corrosion test specimen is equal to variation in the temperature of the inner wall of the cargo tank under the upper deck of the cargo tank, or the surface of the within-cargo-tank structure of the upper deck of the cargo tank, and the corrosion test specimen is exposed to the atmosphere in the cargo tank.
