PURPOSE: A display device and control method of the same are provided to improve a picture quality of an image in which a user views and reduce consumption power by controlling the brightness of an image based on an image analysis which is performed by considering visual feeling characteristics of a user and detecting an area except for an area in which a user does not steadily graze in an input image.;CONSTITUTION: A display unit(110) displays an image which is processed by an image process unit(120). The image process unit displays an image on the display unit by processing the image. A control unit(130) controls the image process unit to control the brightness of a region when a user does not steadily graze among an image displayed on the display unit according to whether a user recognizes the brightness or not. The control unit determines the non-steadily grazed area based on at least one among whether a location in the image and valid image data exist or not.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
