PURPOSE: A device and method for controlling a location indicator of a pointing device are provided to directly grasp a location of the location indicator by automatically locating the location indicator on a designated location when it is hard to find a location of the location indicator.;CONSTITUTION: An environment setting module(31) sets a function of locking, moving locations, releasing a location indicator according to the environment setting information inputted by an input device. A indicator movement detecting module(32) detects the movement of the location indicator. A condition checking module(33) checks a condition for location control of the location indicator.
