PURPOSE: A separation method of fucoxanthin from sea weeds using centrifugal partition chromatography is provided to simply obtain highly pure fucoxanthin using a small amount of solvent.;CONSTITUTION: A separation method of fucoxanthin from sea weeds using centrifugal partition chromatography comprises the following steps: extracting the sea weeds using an organic solvent, and filtering to obtain an extract; obtaining fractions from the extract using two sets of centrifugal partition chromatography using a liquid-liquid solvent system, and concentrating the fractions by repetitively adding hexane and 80% ethanol to obtain an ethanol layer; and repetitively refining the concentrate using a mixed solvent selected from n-hexane, ethyl acetate, the ethanol, water, or their mixture.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
