PURPOSE: A DVR(Digital Video Record) and video monitoring method thereof are provided to increasing a system processing speed by selecting a monitoring target camera according to the movement route of an object.;CONSTITUTION: The image storage method of a DVR apparatus stores video files by receiving videos from plural cameras in plural monitoring areas. The camera in which is selected among the cameras tracks and recognizes the video according to a monitoring event(S401).
