PURPOSE: An imaging apparatus of a subsurface structural map and method thereof are provided to improve a calculation speed by minimizing the size of a log object function.;CONSTITUTION: A waveform inverse operation unit(110) acquires a medium parameter which minimizes an object function by applying a Gauss-Newton method in the object function related to the residual of a logarithmic waveform. A subsurface structural map output unit(300) outputs subsurface structural information by creating the subsurface structural information using the medium parameter in which is calculated in the waveform inverse operation unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
