PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Thalictrum rochebrunianum extract is provided to suppress MMP-1 generation and melanogenesis and to enhance collagen synthesis.;CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin anti-aging or antioxidation contains Thalictrum rochebrunianum extract as an active ingredient. A cosmetic composition for skin regeneration contains the extract as an active ingredient. A cosmetic composition for improving anti-wrinkling or skin elasticity contains the extract as an active ingredient. A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains the extract as an active ingredient. The extract is contained in 0.00001-30.0%(w/w) based on total composition. The extract is isolated using water, anhydrous or hydrous low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, propylene glycol, butylenes glycol, glycerin, acetone, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, chloroform, diethyl ether, hexane, or mixture thereof.
