Power saving in monochrome LCD display driver IC's by eliminating extraneous switching

A method and system for reducing the power consumption of the LCD driver is achieved. A logic circuit connected to the output of the RAM in order to reduce the power , comparing the display data automatically for each scan line , and maintains the output pins when detecting no change in the static data . If the COMMON row containing only zero data , corresponding does not switch the display output is not selected COMMON saves the charging current for the line of the data . An extension of the standard prior art circuit for controlling the logic circuit is an LCD display .
