Processing method of a herb remedy

PURPOSE: A processing method of herbal medicines is provided to increase the amount of healthful components in the herbal medicine and to extend shelf life while increasing flavonoids and polyphenols by drying and fermenting boiled herbal medicines with rice straw. CONSTITUTION: A processing method of herbal medicines includes the following steps: washing sorted herbal medicines with purified water; steaming the washed herbal medicines in a steaming machine at a temperature of 90-110C for 2 ~ 7 hours; fermenting the herbal medicines with rice straw at a temperature of 40-50C for 5 ~ 20 days; and drying the fermented herbal medicines in direct sun light. The rice straw and herbal medicines have a weight ratio of 100:0.5-15, respectively.
