PURPOSE: A generalization method of construction drawing data for digital map generation and update is provided to satisfy the standards for a numerical map in the consideration of the length of line and the amplitude of lines. CONSTITUTION: A construction map for producing and updating a numerical map is inputted(S100), and a necessary layer is extracted(S200). A bending point is obtained(S300), and a linear simplification element is calculated(S400). Based on a threshold value, the satisfaction of a linear map is judged(S500). A new linear mapping can be created(S600).
