DEVICE DETECTING TROUBLE IN THERMOSTAT OF ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A thermostat malfunction sensing device of an engine cooling device is provided to easily manage cool water and how water by outputting a thermostat fault message using an output unit. CONSTITUTION: A thermostat malfunction sensing device of an engine cooling device comprises a coolant temperature modeling unit(110), an engine coolant temperature measuring unit(130), a water temperature comparison unit(150) and an output unit(170). The coolant temperature modeling unit creates a coolant temperature model of the engine based on the engine load. The engine coolant temperature measuring unit measures the coolant temperature of the engine. If it is maintained for a specified time that the cooling water temperature is lower than the modeling result, the output unit transmits the thermostat fault message.
