PURPOSE: A system for reliably broadcasting in an ad hoc network environment, and a method therefor are provided to reliably broadcast data packets by reducing the loss rate of the data packets by checking the loss of the data packets. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit(100) receives data packets and management packets broadcasted from a predetermined node. A transmitting unit(130) broadcasts the data packet or management packets to peripheral nodes. A memory(110) includes a neighbor table made out based on information of the management packets transmitted from the peripheral nodes. A comparator(120) compares the first relayer sequence number included in the management packet transmitted from the predetermined node with the second relayer sequence number stored in the neighbor table. The comparator(120) transmits the compared result to a control unit(140). If the relayer sequence numbers coincide with each other, the control unit(140) judges that the data packets are normally broadcasted to the peripheral nodes. If not, the control unit(140) judges that the data packets are lost. The control unit(140) decides retransmission of the data packets according to the result.
