PURPOSE: An optimal matched filter device for chirp spread spectrum(CSS) is provided to simplify the configuration of the matched filter using signal property between four sub chirps. CONSTITUTION: In a CSS, a multiplying block(501) uses chirp signal which is obtained from four sub chirps which have different frequency bands or sweep directions. The multiplying block outputs a multiplying result of a constant and a filter coefficient which corresponds to one sub chirp for the four sub chirps. A combination block(503) changes the order or the code of the filter coefficient based on the signal property between four sub chirps. The combination block combines the outputted multiplying result. An accumulation and a delay blocks(502) share the multiplying block with respect to the four sub chirps. The accumulation and a delay blocks filters input signal using the multiplying result.
