PURPOSE: A system for assessing the effects of human related events in a nuclear power plant and a method thereof are provided to quantitatively analyze the degree that human related events influence the safety and performance of a system, thereby effectively managing the performance of a nuclear power plant. CONSTITUTION: A human error analysis module(10) calculates a HEP(Human Error Probability) for each work process. A safety assessment module(20) analyzes influences of function loss due to human errors. A performance simulation module(30) simulates the influences that result in function and performance loss in a nuclear power plant.
