FRACTAL ANALYSIS FOR GIS PARTIAL DISCHARGE CLASSIFICATION METHOD

A method for analyzing a GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) partial discharge 3D pattern is provided to improve reliability and accuracy of an analysis result by visualizing and analyzing a composite defect of the partial discharge through 3D fractal patterns. PRPD(Plural-Reason Partial Discharge) data of a 2D partial discharge property is converted to a 3D image. The 3D image is quantitatively displayed by using a fractal analysis process. A reason for the partial discharge is determined. The PRPD data is a composite defect partial discharge. The 3D image is configured based on a density and a lacunarity of the 2D data.
