PURPOSE: A system and a method for reducing artificial swamp type non-point pollutant source using a reserving tank are provided to maximize the natural purifying action by controlling the flow rate and the retention time of rainwater. CONSTITUTION: Rainwater is collected. Rainwater which is lower than the upper limit of a reservoir is discharged to a reserving tank(200). The rainwater which is more than the upper limit of the reservoir is discharged into a sewer overflow path by a first water collecting unit(100). A water level sensor is installed in the reserving tank. Based on the water level sensor, the rainwater is discharged to a second water collecting unit(110). The rainwater is collected and is discharged into an artificial swamp(300). Aquatic organisms are contained in the artificial swamp in order to purify the rainwater from the second water collecting unit. A sink(400) collects the rainwater from the artificial swamp. A water level adjusting unit, a filtering unit, and a water supplying path are additionally contained in the reserving tank.
