PURPOSE: A powder flux control apparatus and method using microwave and static electricity sensing are provided to maximize the productivity of sintered ore by adding minimum installations to the existing facility. CONSTITUTION: A powder flux control apparatus comprises a microwave generating unit(101), a microwave receiving unit, antennas(103,104), an operation unit(107), and a control unit(109). The microwave generating unit generates microwave passing through the powered material in a pipe(106). The microwave receiving unit receives the microwave passing through the powered material in the pipe. The operation unit obtains the density of the powered material from the attenuation of the received microwave and calculates the flux of the powder material from the density and moving speed of the powder material. The control unit controls the flow rate of the powder material using the information about the calculated flux.
