System and Method for providing community during playing broadcasting signal

A system and a method for offering a community for communication during playback of a broadcasting signal are provided to enable users selecting the community related to a broadcasting program to communicate with each other in real-time while the broadcasting program is played. A community server(200) stores broadcasting program community information and enable users selecting a community related to a broadcasting program to communicate with each other. An STB(Set-Top Box)(300) receives the broadcasting program community information from the community server. When the community is selected, the STB enables the users selecting the community to communicate with each other in real-time while the broadcasting program is played by transmitting a selected community joining request message to the community server.
